a ver si arreglamos algo con el maravilloso lenguaje del mundo, y no me refiero al sexo
Hi, I'm not sure but I think you want to ask this:
"I want to buy an U.S model of PS2 but i don't know if it's compatible with...
european games?
european tv's?"
So... If your tv is compatible with ntsc the PS2 will work in your tv, if it's not compatible with ntsc you will see your games in black and white, but you can fix this using an rgb cable.
Pal games can be played in ntsc PS2's using swapmagic U.S. version!!!!! the most of the versions of swapmagic in europe are EUROPE version (normal...) so maybe you can find in a e-shop the swapmagic U.S version but in this shop (discoazul.com) they don't have what you need.
Also you can use a mod-chip to play pal games on ntsc PS2's but i don't know if european modchips will work in a U.S model of PS2.

Do an effort !. Just a simple effort. Portuguese and spanish are so similar languages. You can see that thousands of words are the same and others are very close.
About the problem. Usually ours TVs are'nt ntsc, isn'it? So i'm sure that mine is not too. If i have a rgb cable isnt'i it enough ? Are you sure about the swap disc? I have already import games from US and it's why i bought the rgb cable and every think is fine, also with originals games. Thanks a lot !

If you want to play Pal games on a Ntsc PS2 model you'll need swapmagic (U.S version) or modchip(U.S version)
If the pal games you want to play over your ntsc PS2 are original (not copy) you won't need the slide tool, you will only need to do this steps:
1) turn on your PS2
2)introduce swapmagic (cd or dvd, it depends of what game do you want to play, a game in cd will need swapmagic cd version and viceversa)
3)wait until the "change disk" messege and press eject button on your PS2
4)change disk and press eject button another time
5) press x button on your joypad
Then PLAY
Remember SwapMagic EUROPE BUILD will not work on a U.S. PS2 mode

Why Pal games doesn't work directly in a NTSC PS2?? for the same reasson that a NTSC game doesn't work directly in a PAL PS2. And what kind of reasson is that?? I don't know... maybe it's to control exports... I don't have any idea about the reasson...
